DAILY PRAYERS
General Prayers For Any Time of the Day
Blessed be our God
always, now and forever and to the Ages of Ages. Amen.
Glory to Thee, our God,
Glory to Thee. O Heavenly King, Comforter, the Spirit of
Truth, Who art present everywhere, and fill all things,
Treasury of all Blessings and Giver of Life, come and dwell
within us. Cleanse us from every blemish and save our souls,
O Blessed One.
Holy God, Holy Mighty,
Holy Immortal, have mercy on us (3 times.)
Glory to the Father, and
to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, now and ever and to
the Ages of Ages. Amen.
All Holy Trinity have
mercy on us. Lord, forgive our sins, Master pardon our
transgressions, Holy One look upon us and heal our
infirmities for the glory of Your name. Lord have mercy (3
times).
Glory to the Father and
the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and ever and to the Ages of
Ages. Amen.
Our Father Who art in
Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name; Thy Kingdom come; Thy will be
done on earth, as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our
daily bread; And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our
debtors. And lead us not in to temptation, but deliver us
from evil.
For Thine is
the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory of the Father and of
the Son and of the Holy Spirit, now and forever and to the
ages of ages.
A Morning Prayer
Glory to you, King, God almighty, who through Your divine
and loving care, have granted that I, an unworthy sinner,
should rise from sleep and enter into a new day. Accept, O
Lord, the voice of my prayer, as you accept those of your
holy angels; and that not through my unworthy lips, but from
a pure heart and humble spirit, praise may be offered to
You, so that I also, with the bright lamp of my soul, may
become a companion of the saints, and glorify you, God the
Word, who is glorified in the Father and the Spirit. Amen.
A Prayer Before Meals
Christ our God, bless the food and drink of your servants,
for you are holy always, now and forever and to the ages of
ages. Amen.

EPISTLE –
Titus 3:8-15 (of the
Holy Fathers) +
Titus, my son, the
saying is sure. I desire you to insist on these things, so
that those who have believed in God may be careful to apply
themselves to good deeds; these are excellent and profitable
to men. But avoid stupid controversies, genealogies,
bissensions, and quarrels over the law, for they are
unprofitable and futile. As for a man who is factious, after
admonishing him once or twice, knowing that such a person is
perverted and sinful; he is self-condemned. When I send
Artemas or Tychicos to you, do your best to come to me at
Nicopolis, for I have decided to spend the winter there. Do
your best to speed Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their
way; see that they lack nothing. And let our people learn to
apply themselves to good deeds, so as to help cases of
urgent need, and not to be unfruitful.
All who are with me send
greeting to you. Greet those who love us in the faith. Grace
be with you all. Amen.
GOSPEL – Matthew
5:14-19 (of the Holy Fathers) +
The Lord said to his
disciples, “You are the light of the world. A city set on a
hill cannot be hid. Nor do men light a lamp and put it
under a bushel, but on a stand, and it gives light to all
in the house. Let
your light so shine before
men, that they may see your good works and give glory to
your Father who is in heaven. Think not that I have come to
abolish the law and the prophets; I have come not to abolish
them but to fulfill them. For truly, I say to you, till
heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will
pass from the law until all is accomplished. Whoever then
relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches
men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but
he who does them and teaches them shall be called great in
the kingdom of heaven.”

A LETTER FROM A
RECENT VISITOR “June
10, 2004.
Dear Father Stanley,
Many thanks to you and the congregation of Christ the
Savior Orthodox Church for a most exciting and rewarding
day. It is not often that I travel 120 miles each way
to church. It was well worth it! On my way to
Brooksville, I mentioned to Mike that I wanted to see a
gold dome above the trees – what a surprise! We found a
dirt and gravel road leading to a half dozen camp
buildings. We were disappointed –no- for the best was
yet to come. Opening the door to the Chapel, I could
hardly believe my eyes. I could understand the reaction
of the Russian emissaries to St. Sophia in
Constantinople hundreds of years ago, for my reaction
was similar. Mike and I discussed our reaction all the
way home. You and your congregation have created a gem
in the wilderness. Thank you again for a most enjoyable
day. The memory will remain. May the Holy Trinity
continue to bless you and your work. In Christian love,
I am
George the Convert”
